Elif Ersoy is a revolutionary woman who was imprisoned by the fascist oligarchy in Turkey for her work as a journalist. For several years, Elif worked as editor-in-chief of the Marxist weekly Yürüyüş (March), having previously been a reporter for the magazine. She was sentenced to 9 years in prison for being the editor-in-chief of the Marxist weekly.
For more than 4 years, Elif has been in the isolation prisons of the fascist oligarchy in Turkey. She is currently in the women’s isolation prison located near the town of Bünyan, Kayseri province, in the central part of the country. Elif is held alone, in a single cell almost completely isolated from the outside world.
