Mustafa Koçak – short biography

He was born on 24 July 1992. His family originates from Malatya province, southeastern Turkey (Northern Kurdistan). He is one of four children of a poor family. He was a laborer who started working with his father in the fruit and vegetable shop at an early age. As a young man who did not remain indifferent to the events happening in his country and around the world, he took part in various demonstrations during the June People’s Uprising in 2013 (also known as the Gezi Park protests in Istanbul against Erdogan’s rule;).

Place of the grave: Dağsu neighborhood, Rize district, northern Turkey 

She is the second resister after Gülsüman Dönmez who went on Death Fast against F-type isolation prisons and the tyranny of isolation. She began her resistance in the city of Izmir, western Turkey. She martyred on the 137th day of the Death Fast resistance, at the House of Resistance in Istanbul’s Küçük Armutlu neighborhood.

His imprisonment began after September 12^th, 1980, during the junta backed by the USA.
